well... it works. that's about all i can say about it. as proof of concept (oooold concept), ok... but it's not a finished game. it's an exercise. not bad, kiddo; time to step it up :)

This is my version of Asteroids. Spin with the left and right arrow keys and move forward with up arrow key.Press "space bar" to fire. Asteroids respawn when all are destroyed. This game is my first, I used GameMaker Studio Pro.
If the game looks funky refresh the page.
"SFXR" was used for the music assets.

UPDATE 1.1* -Added enemies that follow the player
it needs more to it- rather easy to play, i sat still for maybe 3 minutes to just see how damage or death worked because of the mechanics, if you could maybe fly around an area with objects floating around rather than a fixed gun and floating rocks- it'd find more interest to it. . . maybe add enemies too ? It's not bad for a first but it's just not that great. sorry ;w;
