You really do know how to give weight to these texts, not just with the limited time but with the fact that everything else is so devoid of life that you can only have the messages to focus on.
And a couple of those texts made me feel like I actually was picking up the phone of someone I know...
I have played through this a few times. I love the music and smooth controls. It felt too relatable, at least for me. I can feel myself in this situation. Everything from "I'm sorry" to "Actually I'm not sorry." From "all girls are bitches" to "I can treat you better than he can." It could be an ex as was mentioned before, but all I see is the "Nice Guy" scenario. Ignoring the messages, trying to forget them, feeling trapped in these words from someone who, as you can see, is relentless and wishy-washy. I had never felt a concept like that in a game before, even if I am reading into it wrong. But I love the feel of the perspective. I don't know the meaning or purpose of this game, but I think I felt it nonetheless.
This guy gets it.
This was really ominous and actually made me feel quite sad playing it. It was almost as if I was re-reading through conversations with an ex from years ago that I'd forgotten about or something. Really interesting concept. I think you could really build on this idea because it's realistic and relatable which is rare for a game made in 72 hours. Excellent music too of course.
Really stirring and weird. Super easy controls and it sucked me in, I just had to know what the next message and the next would say... And the best part was that the music, draining battery, and maze began to make me feel trapped. Excellent, excellent!
An epic, colorful and fast-paced arcade game
