Through Time 2: 2001

Through Time is the first game I made several years ago. It follows a girl from the 17th century who discovers that she is actually from the future. The first game had a lot of bugs. Hopefully, this one is better.
Through Time 2 picks up in the year 2001 after Alianna traveled there using objects left for her by her birth mother.

I think the story is alright. It's just the puzzles are the game play are not entirely related. Also, I had to used the walk through to find out some very secret spots (e.g., the mouse hole, the bathtub, and the hidden wooden chamber), solve puzzles (the 6-digit lock in the closet and the 4-letter lock), and obtain a box of fertilizer. Therefore, I feel that the game is not user-friendly. Besides, I don't really know what are some of the items found. A simple description of each item may hep us progress through the game.

This was one of the most enjoyable point and click games I have played in a while. The drawings are pleasant to look at, the story is interesting and unique, the puzzles where fun. Only let down is not realizing I could look inside the bathtub until I checked the walk-through. I pressed on it so many times but must not of pressed in the right spot. That was also the fact for the mouse hole under the kitchen table. Also even though I knew the colors of the rainbow, I didn't know what order they were suppose to go in until I googled it. But other then that you are onto a good thing with this game. I look forward to more episodes from you :D

Visually very nice. Puzzles could be improved upon but not bad at all.

Clues were very slim. It would help a great deal if there were descriptions of inventory items. I didn't know the flat green object was a book or that the curved metal piece was a handle. There was no clue for solving the puzzle on edge of table. Tiny hotspots for locations you're not aware exist, i.e. mouse hole and domino board. And completed domino board is a word clue for grey cylinder? What the hell is LOHE? The clue doesn't even look like a word. Never would have finished w/o walkthrough.

Thank you for your feedback.
This game is indeed more complex than our previous games and requires more time and observation.
I understand your frustration over not being able to beat it without the walkthrough, however, I believe I have to defend it against some of your points. And please don’t read it as a rebuke. I just genuinely want to explain some of the choices I made.
The game is different from others because there is a plot and you’re not playing as yourself. You’re playing as the main character in the game, who wouldn’t know what things are. She can only say things like “looks like part of something” when describing an object. She can’t know that it’s a handle.
LOHE is not a word. It’s a combination of letters used as a password. It is much more secure to not use actual words as passwords, especially if it’s short.
I do agree that the kitchen table puzzle’s hint is hard to understand, but it’s there. The cities written out above it show that each one ends with a letter, which is the beginning letter of the next one. Quite a few people didn’t get it and I will definitely work on my clue deliveries.
To sum it up, this game is made to be somewhat realistic in the sense that you would approach it as if you’re actually there trying to find a way out. You wouldn’t know what some of the things are when you collect them. At the same time, I tried to make sure that it fit with the logic of the game, so you wouldn’t end up just shoving objects in random places hoping that it would fit. As for the green book, I will try to draw things better, so there wouldn’t be any doubt.

Good escape. A lot of narrations though. And obviously to be continued is frustrating, but hopefully the next one will come out soon
