Okay, you've got a decent clip here. It's short (concise by nature) and gets the point across, I think.

First... let's go with a tip "to really sell this"...
You have a truly cringe-worthy piece here. Except (observation) it's just too short to really draw me in. It's not quite "selling" the thing. I've pulled hang-nails before. I'm pretty sure most of us (viewers) have. Had experiences go both ways. Some went well enough (at least the damn thing's gone, instead of hanging up on shirts, sweaters, and pockets to remind me my finger's sore as a bitch)... Some... rather like this clip here... ,maybe not to this degree (lolz) but something like it happens. And thus, we have "cringe factor"... The tip here is to exploit that for every second you feasibly can. (I'll get to why nearer the end)...
Now, how to do that. You've got to milk this thing. The key part of cringe-factor vid's is that you tease it out so the audience is trapped into staring at this thing while they all ask, "Why the F- am I watching this?!" So, catch the little tab of skin... tug gingerly... give a little audio grunt or murmur. It's got to be unintelligible at first. Tug a little more, then just make enough progress to start the bleeding. Just a drop or two, tug... tug... grunt... (build slow) tug ...tug ...rip a little... (don't forget hesitation "know this is going to hurt worse") Build from a grunt to something dark... maybe something obscene... tug...tug... rip a little more, squeak or bitch... hesitate... cycle it and switch-up a little (if it's all cycles all the time, you lose effect... so be careful) Something like this can blow the whole experience out of proportion and still sell the cringe to the audience. It's what you're doing here.
It's not going to matter what kind of voice you put into it, but think sort of on the line of a good porn. I know, this is a completely different subject, but the principle is the same. Good porn makes you wait... It builds a little at a time... gets you anxious and attentive... grows slowly in speed and excitement... then you bring on the punch of climax...
Same note with this... You can hit us with the climax of this thing, when you figure you've soaked and milked about all you can time-wise, give that hang-nail a good rip... audible like tearing paper... spurt a fairly ridiculous amount of blood (from a hangnail anyways) onto the floor and down the guy's (or gal's) front... Don't forget to pop the skin, thus ending the dilemma and plot. Let the character go with a solid scream (maybe even a Wilhelm if you like... b/c funny)

Now, why?
You are an artist. You're job is to evoke a primitive and visceral emotional reaction from me (audience) who comes to look for something different. Of course I'm not going to like everything I see. I don't, and I'm sure you don't either... That's life. BUT when you dedicate yourself, time, effort, resources, money, skills, etc... to a piece of work. You've done your job when you achieve one of two effects on everyone who looks at it. Love or Hate. It's a risk you can't be afraid to take when you make something. I really think you've got the skills for this one, and I think this has the potential to sit me bolt-upright in the chair with a grotesque expression etched in my face as I shudder and wonder "What the hell if that ever happened to me?" Followed by... "Why did I tell vforvegard to do that?" and "Why the f- am I watching this anyways?!"

Alright, I know you probably thought of this as a 'farce' in all likelihood. It's maybe a quick joke and worthy a little cringe b/c we've all been there... But I think it stands a chance at being SO much more with just a little more time "teasing it out"...

On the tech' side, and maybe you intended it or didn't care... There's a kind of flash to "white-screen" that seemed a little out of place. Don't know if it's something you already wanted (since it seemed out of place and all) so in case you didn't intend it... You might check out the clip and upload settings to figure that out... lolz...

Overall, pretty decent. Motion was fluid, and everything seemed recognizable to me. I noticed The Klown's post reads like the finger resembles a dick... But I could tell it was clearly part of a hand from onset... Maybe he's joking around. Might do a tad more detail to establish the fingernail (off shade a little more) and joints (wrinkle line works) to make sure... But I saw a hand and finger... got the point. :o)
