I think the 'hitbox' of eating is to far back. Its a bit odd that he opens his mouth áfter the feed is in his face :D
Didnt find out about space till after the game haha :D

Not interesting enough but a few things to add. you forgot to add in the description that the E key is for the action. on the "work" phase, I just leaped and pressed both the red and green button at the same time to just pass it. and for "feeding" its felt silly that I had actually to wait until the food touched the character before pressing E to count.
The only thing I didn't like was that in order to eat you had to open your mouth after the food was already in your head. I tried to open my mouth so the food would go in it, but you have to hit e after the food hits you in the face. Other than that I thought it was charming yet seemed very professional, something I can't say for a lot of ludum dare games. Especially not ones that get uploaded to this site.
