I would like to prefer a ball instead of the rectangle or whatever is it. And about the game there is nothing interesting, the jump feels laggy.

You start to be somewhat annoying with spam games with the same concept,

Music is very annoying
The controls of the worst
And spam does not help at all

I think if I'm not crazy this week you uploaded 3 games almost the same, okay, my friend, I'll explain something to you.

updates

Is not to upload the same game with a meaningless map
Is not to create a character other than 1 single color
Is not drawing in paint trees and upload the game

no friend

You should take your time and create something good, something that is worth uploading as a game.

Hopefully not see the same again until January.

I hope that in January when you raise the game it is worth this daily spam of your games.

Do not take it wrong, do not say angry or make you feel less, but work more friend and then raise a game that if it is worth.

DragonGladiator responds:

By spam you would be talking about simply releasing updates as soon as I have done enough work for it to be substantial.

and indeed I did upload 3 updates, because I was told of things I could improve, and I wanted to see if they actually had.

Again I say, I am not an artist, and I have no easy way to gain interesting, original art assets for a game, so I'm practically creating "barely good enough" artwork until I get someone talented to help me.

I personally believe that this is worth uploading, seeing as (in this update at least), I did a complete overhaul of the game, it's art and it's levels.

It will possibly be a while before I upload anything else, specifically because I doubt that I will have any more major overhauls in game structure, the only updates SHOULD be art and levels.

Thank you for taking your time to write a review detailing why you think this is bad, It helps me to make the game better in the future.

okay you have officially pissed me off...

please for the love of god do 2 things.
Either stop putting out the same if not WORSE game again and again at infinitum.
Or you know... ACTUALLY TRY!

This "game" doesn't function hell i would wager its broken on purpose.
IT doesn't do anything and space just rapidly cycles through eh levels you CAN'T PLAY.

People need to stop posting GARBAGE here, its getting to the point where games don't even fucking have executable files anymore, and they post it because... LOL!

Learn, Grow and take the criticism, and get better at it and who knows you too could become the next FNAF or something.
Or you know you could always pull a Digital Homicde, and never improve or be worth ANYTHING.

So i blam this now, go cry to the mods i am being unfair, or mean. I don't care.

DragonGladiator responds:

Thank you for insulting my game?

I am certainly actually trying and actively attempting to take into consideration the requests of people (like you) who have seen and given feedback.

This game is neither exactly the same or worse than it's previous iterations, it has the same physics engine and character, but if that makes it the same exact game, then there are probably only 10 games out there in the world. also, I have made considerable improvements every time I release a new iteration of this game.

using quotations marks on the word "Game" seems to indicate that you don't believe this is something that you could casually play through for fun, even though many people have.

pressing the space bar is a debugging tool to let you just go to a level and try it out for a while, instead of having to get through prior levels if you have already played them.

No, this game is not "broken on purpose", so you seem to have lost that wager, and it certainly does function entirely as it was meant to.

also, are you getting angry about the levels being unplayable simply because you could not complete them? I can assure you that I and many other people have been able to play these levels. I do accept that they may be "eh" (great descriptor), as I am not good at level design, nor have I learnt how to do level design well.

If you wish to call this game "GARBAGE", that is your right and opinion, I simply disagree.

"Learn, Grow and take the criticism". this is specifically what I have been trying to do without the project. I was advised to add background music, so I scoured to find acceptable music.

I was told of various problems, bugs or general gripes with designs and interactions, so I have now learnt how to better create a game of this type, and have learnt what people do and do not enjoy.

I am growing heavily as a programmer simply by being able to release something to an audience and gain feedback on how it can be improved.

Both of my prior points also support that I do indeed "take the criticism", in fact, whenever I have been given criticism, I have made a marked note of it and accepted it, unlike some people who would get angry and scream against anyone with a different opinion.

I also do not simply "post it because... LOL", I am trying to reach an audience and recieve feedback as to how to better myself, and my game.
I also do this in a bid to give some people something entertaining to use to while away their time.

I don't understand what it is you are telling me to get better at in your "Get better at it" statement, but if you ask me to, I most likely will try my hardest to do so.

I really don't want to imitate FNAF.

"Or you know you could always pull a Digital Homicde, and never improve or be worth ANYTHING"
(Homicide*?)
This seems to simply be a personal attack on me as you believe I have literally NO room for personal growth, and as such I will never improve, and I will stay at my current worth of literally nothing.

as for this I simply say, I apologize that you feel that way. but I will keep trying to improve myself no matter what.

You have a right to "blam" content you deem bad, and that is not something to cry to mods about. however I do get the feeling that you are being extremely mean to me, and I don't really care about that either.

And with that, Good day.

In post-piston it's possible to jump off the map and keep falling forever. I don't think it's possible to do on accident (I did it on purpose to see if this was an issue) but you might want to think of adding boundaries to the outside area that send you back to the start of a level if you fall off.

DragonGladiator responds:

Thank you for the find, and for the suggestion. I'll most likely put that in the next update.

Some sfx could be done, the possibility of a few easter eggs could be done, maybe different modes (easy, medium, and hard) with the possibility of checkpoints or lives, and lastly telling that the spacebar allows for skipping levels might be a bonus.

(And yes, it's a run-on sentence of sorts)

DragonGladiator responds:

Indeed, I have yet to find a place to acquire sound effects, but they will be in the next update, whenever that happens.

Easter eggs would be good, thank you.
Different modes may be harder to implement, but I will see what I can do.
Probably should have explained about the space bar, however seeing as this is the first iteration, I assumed no-one would have to skip levels they've played before.
