No matter what you take in school, you'll need to take mandatory lecture classes, which often have nothing to do with your major.
I really love the TD-series from you. Also I'm rethinking now about to study. Cos of exactly this shit. I don't think the system for universitys is very much different in Germany than from the one in NA so thanks m8.
Good analysis of how mixed up everything is and the pics complimented well. And while I am adamantly grateful for my Pschyc 101 class and my Philosophy 101 in art college as the things I learned in them have proved useful in my every day life... that doesn't detract from the point you made. I like that you don't diminish their worth, just question their purpose. (and those things should be taught in highschool anyway, replace calculus, and chemistry. Rather know how I work and how others work than be able to blow stuff up with every day cleaning supplies).
God damn it schools and collages/universities are total bullshit. Of course education is important yet as the whole world know and has been saying for decades, the school system is bullshit (Also Prince EA made a video about it "I sued the school system" or something like that).
I mean throughout my entire school life I have learned many things yet most of them were useless, above that whatever I learned in Collage had less to do with my working field. I mean at work I had to start from over again and although they mentioned few things that I did actually take in collage (but still the professor didn't explain it well so we had no idea what he was talking about) it was explained in a much simpler and easier way because it didn't go deep to how the atom was created, they explained what was needed for work and that's all.
I mean lord, just look at what people accomplished throughout history, and specially in the Islamic Golden Age were teaching did actually matters and people used to "graduate" with something useful and invent something that helps humanity, nowadays people graduate with nothing in their minds except "I want to work and get on with life"
I understand your point, but part of the reason large lecture halls still exist is to weed out students that can't bring themselves to pay attention. Yes, they are boring. No, it is not a wonderful format for in the exchange of information. They suck, and you have to power through.
I call bullshit, man. Thousands of dollars so THEY can weed out people who aren't me? Fuck that. You pay money to get an education, not endure their attrition process. That's a shit system, and no one should have to "power through".
This speaks of my mind. Always makes me sigh when we are spending time in class over what we could've have read in Wiki. Transferring to a large university has been generally a disappointing experience for me. I looked forward to quality education, living fulfilling days of learning and applying all sorts of new things. What I got was being tossed on the train, 300+ppl lectures, small chairs and 30-yr old equipments, re-taking "irrelevant" pre-req's because what I had didn't count, you name it.. sigh 'nogh of my bluhing, Nice animation dude!
