What most people don't know about this is that this is word for word (with a few minor errors, and changing the name from Denver Allen to Rick Allen, and J. Bryant Durham to Morty Durham) an actual court transcript that actually happened in real life. It's just being reenacted with Rick and Morty. And that's the only thing that's funny about it. If not for that fact, it would be insipid and nigh unwatchable. Except for the joke of the court reporter diligently typing away. Which would carry 10% of the strength of the same joke. So remember that when you watch this. This happened in a courtroom, in real life, on June 17, 2016. The State of Georgia vs Denver Fenton Allen. Here is a link to the court transcript:

You can read along as you listen to this to see I'm not screwing with you. Frankly though, as CRAZY as that simple fact may be, how RELATIVELY entertaining it is in comparison to usual court proceedings, it's still kind of falling a BIT short of entertainment for entertainment's sake. It's just better by comparison. And I don't see why it was done with Rick and Morty, that's completely arbitrary and pointless. If I want something CRAZY, I'll watch Crazytown (the short of the 2 guys driving through the desert) or something like that maybe. This isn't even close to being up to the standards of regular Rick and Morty. It certainly was a let-down to those waiting in their year and a half hiatus after the end of season 2 of the show for new Rick and Morty material, though some people are big enough fanboys to love it even so, because they just love anything Rick and Morty and have no standards. Kind of like Comic Book Guy on the Simpsons complaining about the Star Wars prequels and then going to theaters to watch them repeatedly.
