UPDATE 1:
*Ads have been reduced to one while loading and one in gameplay-non-relevant room.

UPDATE 2:
*Lagging of the screens (terrace and below the main staircase) have been fixed, also the loading time between parts of the house is now minimal.

UPDATE 3:
*Medals are now fully functional again.
-When the loading is over and game menu appears the pop-up should open 'Newgounds Passport'.
-If you haven't allowed pop-ups from Newgrounds you will be asked to do so.
-Grant Permission in the 'Newgounds Passport'.

I think that medals won't be visually unlocked in the game window (when player unlocks them) until game is re-started but they should be instantly-visible in 'Recent Game Medals' on the player's profile page.

*If you are using multiple Newgrounds accounts with the same browser, the 'Newgounds Passport' will automatically sign-in the first-signed user. To avoid clearing cache just use Private/Incognito windows to re-initiate 'Newgounds Passport' for different user.

The game had a bunch of flaws.

The direction buttons were a bit too translucent. You can't really see them at the start of the game. And even after playing for a significant amount of time you still have difficulty. I got stuck for a bit because I missed a few rooms. And the reason why I missed the rooms was because I couldn't see the arrow pointing to it.

Of course the most obvious flaw was that some of the scenes were upside down. Little things like that, in my opinion, show how much a game developer cares about his consumer.

And the game really had no buildup to it. I think I might have understood how to play the game better if I knew what I had in my inventory... what they do... Etc etc.

All in all, I didn't like the game. But I do believe that there is potential. I'd like to see an improved version.

Ganderoleg responds:

Thanks for playing, I'm sorry you didn't like the game.
About the flipped scenes, it seems that Mozilla has changed something recently in it's openGL handling that caused few of the scenes to be flipped. Game worked/is working normal on Chrome and Opera and I just uploaded the non-openGL vesion of the game so the Mozilla problem is now also fixed.

I must admit that I had a version with more visible directional buttons but it made the game look too... colorful. The game was meant to be an old-school adventure, not really a 'Pixel Hunt' kind of a thing but close to that. I believe that modern games treat players like idiots, everything is marked, obvious, underlined, repeated at least 3 times during gameplay... I have respect for game players and I think that games should be less of a help-file and more of a get-in-with-all-you-got thing. Like in Commodore, Amiga and early PC era.

Too many ads.
Thats not the proper quality game to add there so many ads.

Ganderoleg responds:

ORIGINAL: Thank you for playing and for good score.
...but it seems you changed your score to zero for some reason so:
EDITED: Thank you for playing.

There are only two ads in the game, one before the loading screen and one in the gameplay none-relevant room.
I'm not sure what you mean by proper quality. If a game has coherent storyline, visually acceptable artwork and it's gameplay-functional then it's in the proper quality for two small ads :)

I think the game was fun; but it lacked on a lot of backstory in my opinion (as someone who not only loves reading; but also someone who is overly curious about stuff and would want to see more to the story). I also got lost A LOT in the game; even with the PDF file.

Other than that, my medals also didn't work; and I tried completing the game two times to get them. Checked my player page and everything :/ That's a bummer.

Ganderoleg responds:

Thank you for playing and for a very high score.
The backstory is a bit dry. I had to choose between informative and cinematic way of doing the intro. Since the game is short, I used mood/visual approach so that the player can get a feel of the game and not so much a solid backstory. If I ever finish sequel to Martin then it would be inexcusable not to have a real main character storyline behind the game.
I'm sorry for medal related issues, it's a Construct 2 engine medal-system that is a bit complicated . Make sure you've done the following:
-When loading is over and the game menu appears the pop-up should open 'Newgounds Passport' in a new tab.
-If you haven't allowed pop-ups from Newgrounds you will be asked to do so.
-Grant Permission in the 'Newgounds Passport' (by clicking on 'Grant Button').
I think that medals won't be visually unlocked in the game window (when you unlock them) until game is re-started but they should be instantly-visible in 'Recent Game Medals' on the player's profile page.
*If you are properly connected with your NGPassport you should hear a quick knife sound after granting permission or, if it's already granted, after loading is over, approximately at the same time the menu-music starts.
For me, Mozilla never opened the NGPassport automatically, even after I placed www.newgrounds.com in the allowed pop-up windows. I had to allow the pop-up manually by clicking the link from Mozilla block-notification when it appeared next to the search bar.
>>> EDIT: <<<
It seems that the 'Newgounds Passport' has automatic sign-in for the main/earlier NG user of the browser (after the first sign-in it uses browsers cache). To initiate 'Newgounds Passport' again you should clear browsers cache or just use 'Private Window' in Mozilla or Opera or 'Incognito Window' in Chrome.

Love it. It would be cool if it was a little more interactive though. And if you could kill her a little more creatively.

Ganderoleg responds:

Thanks for great score and review.
Yeah, it seems that I did make the actual killing a bit anticlimactic :) I will try to do more in a sequel to Martin when the time comes.

... I can`t get archivments

Ganderoleg responds:

Make sure you are using Chrome, Mozilla or Opera and that you have allowed pop-ups from www.newgrounds.com. When loading of the game is over and the game menu appears a pop-up window should open 'Newgounds Passport' (in a new tab). You need to click on 'Grant Permission' button.
I think that medals won't be visually unlocked in the game window (when you unlocks them) until game is re-started but they should be instantly-visible in your 'Recent Game Medals' on your profile page.
