For the Newgrounds Creep Jam!

My inspiration for this was actually a hauntingly vivid nightmare I had when I was only 5 years old. I still remember it very clearly, so I thought I could turn it into a fun animation for everyone to enjoy instead.

Use headphones if you can! There are a few loud-ish noises but nothing too intense.
All sfx were royalty-free from Youtube. Unless Youtube was lying to me, in which case, I hope someone will let me know.

Geez, what the hell happened to make you have a nightmare like this at 5 years old? XD

It's come to my attention that we used to have opera masks hanging up in the house I used to live in, in the bedroom, no less. The most plausible explanation I can think of is that I was in a half-awake state and saw some kind of green light reflecting off of the masks (perhaps from a television or a passing car).

The main difference in my actual nightmare is I saw hundreds of the phantoms swooping around me, all moving independently of one another. I think the scariest part was the fact the room looked completely normal throughout the nightmare; I thought it was real.

Your style is so adorable and the animation moved well. I especially liked the design of the monster and its jerky, wriggling motions. The monster itself seemed to me like a of a cross between Spirited Away and Courage the Cowardly Dog. Thank you so much for making this lovely animation!
