Welcome to Elemental 3! (This is the third version of Elemental. It's based off of the game Doodle God.)

Combine any two elements to create new elements! If a combination doesn't currently create any element, you can suggest what element it should create.

If that suggestion gets enough votes, it will automatically actually become part of the game. New combinations can create pre-existing elements, or brand-spanking new ones!

While you're waiting, why not submit a variety of suggestions for the same equation? This increases the chance of one suggestion becoming official!

****WARNINGS****
This game is based on user submissions and is mostly un-moderated. Therefore, it might be inappropriate for younger players.

Despite this game autosaving, many users have reported losing large numbers of elements upon reloading. This may have to do with browser security settings, but I'm still trying to fix it.

This game gradually starts to lag more and more over time if you don't click refresh. I'm also trying to fix this, but in the meantime, remember to click "Refresh" (in game) a lot.

****END OF WARNINGS****

Discuss anything about this game at the Elemental Discord channel (https://discord.gg/MVEwwbY) or the Elemental subreddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/elemental3/)!

I had been playing this game for a long while, and despite the humongous lag-times, had a lot of fun. But as of April 26, when I went back to the game, everything just broke. You can't combine elements, can't randomly combine things, or even look up the top element. There isn't even a number for how many actual elements there are.

Out of desperation at the gigantic risk of losing everything, I reset my progress. Not even the first four elements appear anymore. It was originally four stars, but now my rating has plummeted. I'll leave half a star at least for the time I did spend on it. And for the fact that I also created some elements.

I like the concept a lot! Very unique and open to a lot of potential. I would, however, recommend moderating it somewhat, as this can get very clogged very fast. Perhaps also adding some sort of objective, perhaps in the style of an incremental game, would be a good idea.

Very good concept! Excellent!

Fotoshop responds:

Thanks! Yeah, I was considering moderating this game, but the system's supposed to be designed so that the userbase can sort of self-moderate. It takes many votes over a spread out period of time for an equation to become official, making it hard for a single person to get an element they want. Furthermore, other users can find equations getting close with the "Up and Coming" button and dislike stupid suggestions, hopefully ending them. However, despite all these steps, I'm still getting a lot of dumb elements, so maybe I'll try having a second server with stricter rules.

As for an objective, right now it's really more of a sandbox than an adventure game, and I don't have much time to fully flesh it out. I'd love to do that more in the future though!
