The art style is nice and clean. You can understand what different objects are and what they might do by glancing at them. The whole art style has a spirit vibe, which goes well with the philosophical theme.
The controls work well and feel responsive enough for the platforming challenges. It would be nice to have a way to turn off your ability at will, though. There were times when I had to just wait around for the ability to wear off.
The ability confused me when I first tried using it. Everything was still moving so I thought the ability wasn't working. This makes sense now though: It's a localized time freeze.
I created a video of my playthrough of the game. I thought it might be useful to see the game in action and my real-time reactions to different parts of it. Hope this video is helpful and/or entertaining!
Thanks for making the game! It was fun to play :)
Thank you so much for the video. It is so awesome!
I will take every feedback given by everyone in consideration. At the end of the next week I will get back at the game and polish it and bring more content!
I will let everyone know when it is ready!
Till then thank you!
The idea is very interesting, but a bit more explanation in the beginning would help; it's not intuitively obvious that stopping time cause gravity to stop applying to you as well. Also, could use some work on the writing. Most importantly, the location of the stop time button feels really out of place. It's hard to reach and isn't consistent wit the rest of the control scheme. Maybe instead use space to stop time, up to jump, and arrow keys to move.
What if . . . is a platformer game. The controls could be better, but the graphics are spot on. With more content it would be a much better game.
Its an interesting concept and the graphics are really amazing but the mechanics seem just a bit off.
The only suggestion I have is maybe the ability to move up or down a little bit while freezing time. Everything else is good!
