Being the first and most likely only game of the saga, "Shoot and Jump 2!" may have a confusing title, but its as simple as it gets but keeping all the entertainment!

-----------------------------------------------
Controls:
-Move with A-D or with the arrow keys LEFT-RIGHT
-Jump with UP, W or SPACE
-Point with the mouse and shoot by clicking!

How to play:
-Don't shoot the blue blocks, that takes a point of energy away.
-Don't touch the blue blocks, that, too, takes a point of energy away.
-Don't fall in love with the blue blocks, they may or may not break your heart.

-DO shoot the purple blocks! if they reach your core... You guessed it, they take a point of energy away.
-DO touch the purple blocks! they're fine with it, really.

-If your core reaches 0 energy, you're finished!!
-Also, enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm open to suggestions, your constructive criticism is appreciated!

So glitched. I got the squirrel medal while on the ground level, and I got the survivor medal without getting a streak of 50.

This is a pretty sweet game overall. You really nailed the retro theme with the graphics, music, simple game play... pretty much everything. The game takes a bit of time to get used to and it's very fast paced. I would have preferred it starting off a bit easier and getting progressively harder, to ease you into it. I think the combination of purple/blue wasn't the best. It maybe would have been a bit easier if they were more opposite colors.

It's a bit one dimensional too. Maybe having different levels that you progress through would have made it a bit more interesting and some more replay value.

Thanks a lot for the review! It helps me a whole bunch to know what people think it would be better to the game!

I started playing this by jumping around and going after the purple blocks as they spawned. Then it dawned on me that I could sit by the core, shift to the left or the right when a blue block appeared, and snipe the purple blocks as they drew close. This strategy works a little too well, and it makes the game a little boring. Granted, the smaller blocks are harder to shoot, but it's easier to aim when you're staying relatively still.

My score didn't change due to any of the medals, but I think the squirrel medal is bugged. I stayed on the ground floor the entire time, and I somehow got that one.
