Bad angry birds ripoff

....man, okay....where do I start here? I looked into this, it's most definitely an Angry Birds clone, without the interesting music (THUMP....THUMP....THUMP.) alongside much more unbalanced physics when it comes to launching things. When you lose, it gives the sound as if an angry bird is being fired, but this isn't supposed to be Angry Birds....is it? Either way, if I wanted to play a game like this, I could just pick up the game it took most, if not all its things from, where the enemies aren't zombies that sound like another franchises, protagonists. The only reason I'm not rating this lower, is because the graphics at least seem unique....also, you should at least allow people to get back to the main menu.

I loaded this game up and in the first few seconds I knew I would be playing the Angry Birds game that no one else wants to play. I would have loved to say I liked it as much as I like playing Angry Birds but I just can't say that about this game. The sounds/music didn't make give me the feeling that I was hoping for, and the mechanics of the ninja ball were just not right, it shot to fast/hard and the zombie heads didn't make good targets.

I hope you can take something away from the review to help this and future games.

Ninja Zombie Shooter is just like every other ball target game out there. Make no mistake: the ninja is a ball, which I will refer to as Ninjaball in this review; and the zombieheads are targets. Only what seperates this one from the rest of the games is the slingshot. The object of the game is for you to slingshot the ninjaball into the zombieheads. There are 25 levels, and you must hit all of them in every level to win. The mission fails if you didn't hit all zombieheads after 5 shots, and then you have to try again. Aiming that slingshot can be tricky, and you need to bounce your shot off walls -- The average player is going to be raging for sure! I know I did!!

"WTF!? I can't hit the f***ing pirate in the upper-left corner, even though I'm aiming correctly! This level's f***ing bulls**t!!! This level's bulls**t!!! F*** this game!!!" - Spoken out-loud during level 7.
-------------------------------------

The longer I played this game, the more pissed off I'd become. It didn't take me long to discover that there's no balancing! Difficulty will be straight-up hard at some points, and then suddenly become boringly easy. And it didn't help having to listen to a 6 second stomping tune on a loop, which thankfully there's a mute button for. But nothing ever changes from this formula! This game wasn't playtested, or was tested but just pushed out the door! By level 6, I didn't want to play any more, but had to just to get the review out.

INFINITE DOTTED SHOT BUG
There is a bug that lets you have an infinite amount of dotted shots. First you have to hit the head that gives you the dotted line shot, then click retry instead of shooting another ninjaball. Each time you hit the head, you gain an additional dotted shot, but the counter never decreases until the next turn is taken. This bug is so overpowered, it needs to be fixed.

- You can't hit retry after firing the last ninjaball.
- Some of the land masses on the ceiling are not really solids, and the ninjaball will just pass through them.
- Sound effects copied from an already existing game.
- The "Skill" genre needs to be added to the tags.
- When you complete the game, it gives you the option to play again, but clicking on it erases your progress. (possible bug?)

On personal feeling alone, I would give it a 2 out of 10. But sadly, I cannot do that because the rest of the game is programmed well. The graphics are acceptable. And there is a thrill to aiming the slingshot. All levels can be completed without the Infinite Dotted Shot, so it does have a few things going for it. But the fin factor decreases when you realize you're just firing a ball at targets for the entire duration of the game, which many games have already done before. The verdict is a 4 out of 10 - slightly below average. The best part is the slingshot, and the worst is how imbalanced the levels are. Others will think differently, but that's just my take on it. Is it worth it? The best answer for that would be "Don't give your hopes up."

Final Verdict: 4 out of 10
