This is Grand Adventure! Part of my Adventure! series. In that I worked on a series of odd projects with Adventure! in the title.

It is unfinished. It's like 95% done but the last little bits never quite came together. Programmer after programmer dropped out before it could all be quite placed how I wanted.

It's... interesting. Kind of an atari graphics attempt at a weird horror esq adventure game.

Things the game does not have or that sucks:

The load screen minigame. There was going to be a cool load screen minigame. It was finished, but taken out of this build to work out some bugs. Never got put back in.

The 'true' ending. There was to be one last ending that currently is not accessible as it required completing the load screen mini game.

The final boss was going to be remade less lame.

The second boss in the jungle was going to be made less bullshit. Seriously, if you get to that boss you'll see what bullshit it is. It's such bullshit. It's beatable, but way harder than it needs to be.

Lots of other small things. Still, it's been just sitting around my dashboard for almost four years, so I thought I'd finally just publish it in its unfinished form. Why not, right?

All the music done by the amazing Andrew Haung. Find more of his stuff at andrewismusic.com

All the programming was done by... well a few different people. Something like ten different programmers worked on it on and off back in action script 2. Sheesh! They all dropped out for various reasons. Maybe I'm just no fun to work with?

The hand drawn art was done by the irreplaceable Jhomar Soriano. His art can be seen, among other places here: http://jhomarsoriano.blogspot.com/

That's about that. Enjoy this unfinished weird adventure game thingy.

i remember playing this right when it came out and there were no walkthroughs so i had to figure it out myself but it was very fun to play.

Damn. This is actually incredibly well made. I'm surprised it isn't more popular than it currently is. At first I had the feeling as if it was going to be a short game with a cliche "forgotten lover" story, but as the game went on I literally became emotionally attached to the story.
I'm sad that we don't get to see the "true" ending. I definitely like the "must beat minigame to see the true ending" idea, pretty unique. I hope you can finish it somehow someday. Definitely want to see the guy and the gal together.

Thanks for caring. Also, I dunno, it was way more popular than I expected.

The game is very nice! I liked the Story, thge fact that you played it multiple times and find out something new every time! It took me about 5 runs + an walktrough, so i could understand how itś done, but it doesn mean that itś hard to find out what to do! I would love to play more games like if you really insist on not finishing this game, but I hope you will continue writing storys like this!
P.S.: Forgive me for my bad english D;

fun retro style adventure game. I just wish The cut scenes were a 1 time thing. seeing them over and over after a death get a little tiresome.

Emptygoddess responds:

You should be able to skip them after dying. At least that was the plan.
