**Please read the description before commenting 'this is NOT a game'. If you don't like educational stuff, this is not for you.**

This project was for a University assignment where the aim was to explain a complex idea using interactive visualisation. I went the sci-fi route and decided to talk about a much needed language enhancing invention, showing off how it could enhance language tutoring for those struggling to learn a new language.

I wan't really sure whether to classify this as a game or a movie as it's kind of in the middle, being just interactive enough to be considered somewhat a game, but static enough to not be called a movie. I think 'Tutorial' is the best explanation for this project, as it's the closest option available.

**Update 22 MAY 2015**
Changed some typos and added a pre-loader. It probably didn't need one with how small the file is, but it's not too much hassle.

Yes, it should be posted in the movie section. It isn't a game, it is an interactive movie. You think players aren't going to be disappointed because of the tags 'tutorial' and 'education'? You are the creative type; you can't see a way to make an educational game out of a tutorial??? You put a lot of work into this. Keep it in the wrong section for all I care, but the only thing that will do is bring a low rating for something you worked hard on. Here's an example of that: "I wanted a game, this isn't a game, automatic X/5."

if you have to explain in the game section that this is not a game, maybe you shouldn't post it to the game section. i know this site doesn't have a section for this but either include game elements or post it elsewhere. just an idea.

Are you saying you think this would be better suited for the Movie section? I don't understand how people are disappointed to find something that isn't a game after seeing this is tagged as being in the 'Tutorial' genre (something that isn't a game to begin with), and has the tag 'Education'.

Not really a game, but it is educational.

not a game...

This is more of an educational file than a game. It isn't a game in the sense of there being a goal, winner, or loser. only expanding and explaining thought. I found myself to be not quite fond of it not for these reasons, but the music. It was a bit repetitive. well, more than a bit. It made me mute my system just to get through it. It would not fit in the movie section due to its user option to pick which sectio to start out with, not that this is entirely necessary since the "stages" are numbered and the explanations build off of each other.
all in all, nifty but not the kind of thing most people would consider a game.

Thanks for your comment. Before uploading this file to Newgrounds I did struggle to define it, but felt the need to share this with the world as it is an interesting topic, and I'm proud of how great it looks visually (more as a piece of art than educational tool). I have a feeling the comments would probably have been the same if I had categorised this as a 'Movie', so in the end it didn't matter what I picked as long as I acknowledged it was wrongly labelled, and wasn't too misleading. I hope people can take something from this, even if they only think about this concept of a language enhancing headset a little bit.
