Author Comments

You control the heroic main ship. Every hit you take from the enemies brings you closer to destruction... but also makes you stronger. Coming in contact with enemies and their weapons forces your ship to adapt and become more powerful.

Wow... a game where I absolutely have to take damage to gain items or powers. That's a new one on me. And it's not just damage, but one of five total hits. That's a weird decision to make, especially without a healing system. I'd have to play a few more times, but it feels like the strategy is to bash into my four favorite targets right away, then to shred as many enemies as possible until the end.

Basically, it feels like it's designed to live fast and die big. I dunno if that's what you were aiming to get. Though I do know that's one of the funnier tutorials I ever played. Good job.

I like the concept. It would be nice to see some upgrade options. Also replace the health blips with either a bar or actual numbers. As it is, sometimes I hit a ship and there's no apparent damage and other times a whole health blip will disappear.

It wasn't bad, and the creator obviously has a good sense of humor. The gun could have been more intuitive to use, and I would have preferred a WASD control scheme, as the arrow keys where a bit cramped to use with the mouse. The music was decent, and the inclusion of mute buttons was a very good idea. Thank you, nothing annoys me more than when they are forgotten.

Overall I think this is a step in the right direction, and I'm hopeful about future productions from this author.
