Note: the cave level is laggy as hell on this website, because I made this game overly complicated and newgrounds isn't having any of it apparently. I might fix later but probably not.
Also, the barrel-role is possible just quite hard.
This is a sample game that tells a story of a monkey that will do whatever it takes to be the king of the jungle. When the man in the yellow hat challenges his alpha male status, he knows what he has to do.
Actual desc: This game is a game I threw together for a comp science project and since graphics didn't matter I got a good mark :D Anyway, if you're interested in making something actually decent that doesn't require me to make art shoot me a pm.
Controls:
right hand:
Mouse shoot when time comes
arrow keys to move
left hand: Hold tissues for when you cry because you realize you will never get a chance play such an amazing game again.
Alternatively, the beauty of this game could make you want to use the issues for other... activities.
The beginning was definitely original. I suggest building off of that for a future game.
Very, very laggy game but the music is fun though.
The medal Barrel Roll is broken, i've completed this minigame 3 times and still didn't get it, a fix would be very appreciated so we can actually finish this game.
this looks like its ok and i like the concept/music (chloroform jokes r always on point), but it simply wouldnt run on my computer. i could barely walk because i'd always skip across the screen in 1 frame. this is a new pc so im not sure what the issue is, but i immediately got stuck before even leaving the first screen... i guess ill try again later :(
Due to some bugs in the game, it's now 2,5 star entry. Without the bugs 3 or 4, as I liked the story.
Graphics are to my liking actually.
So, bugs; the Barrel Role doesn't seen to work or then it's very very difficult.
The cave was a bit laggy as you've mentioned, but doable. The part after that, evading those two huge Shy Ones (right?) was a bit more aggravating.
The first time I entered the shooting zone, my bad, didn't read the instructions and just died. But I was able to jump around the first time. When I died, there were these "bullet" dots all around, as in memory not clearing. And upon entering again, I was unable to jump, but thank goodness still able to shoot and managed to complete the game.
Not a bad effort and congratulations for the good mark relating to your project at school.
Definitely a very good first entry, despite low stars.

Thanks man! really appreciate you taking the time to write out such a detailed and thorough response. You found some bugs I didn't actually know existed D: I might fix but this game probably isn't worth salvaging.
