John The Fisherman was a short I originally wrote in 2008. I had planned to shoot all live action backgrounds and animate him into the shots. A lot has changed in the 6 years since I originally wrote this short, from my attitude towards film making to my knowledge of animation. In a sense, this was a short that took only 1 month to make, but in another sense it took over 6 years. However you look at it, I feel that this short is the best thing I have ever made in terms of tone and writing.
