So, this is pretty decent, I enjoyed it quite a lot, both in the gameplay and the story, but it's certainly lackluster in many departments.

First of all, the graphics are a bunch of squares. This would be okay in other circumstances, but in here it just felt like the blandest possible choice for graphics. The lack of music and sound effects to give us feedback is also kind of anti-climatic. Anyways, the presentation is minimal, and I wouldn't normally mind that, it's just that the presentation here doesn't really feel like an artistic choice, for whatever reason.

Okay, as for the gameplay, I really like the concept behind it. I love this kind of game in which you venture through places finding tokens to open new paths, and this game does a pretty good job with that, in spite of its shortness. The maps are pretty short, straight-forward and fun, and uncovering new things is nice.

My first problem is with the hit detection on the fire blocks, it is inconsistent. Sometimes dropping down into a fire block won't kill you, but other times, if you merely touch a block with one of your edges, you die.

Secondly, the "checkpoints" seem to be arbitrary. There were points where I'd just respawn right on top of whatever fire thing killed me (thus taking away 9000 more "Burn" counters that seem to do nothing) and other times where I'd spawn on a previously visited map.

Third, certain sections in some maps were a bit unfair. For instance, the final time in which we visit the initail map doesn't give us enough time to prepare, because there's a flashing fire right in the right-side entrance of it, which means that you will basically take a hit unless you move right as you enter the map in a very specific way to avoid being caught. Other than that, there was the one time where I had to jump just right to avoid touching a fire block.

Finally, by the end of the game, when we have to drop down from a newly-opened hole in the initial map, it is possible to go to the right-side maps, but when you do, the old text is still there "these black blocks seem to open ways" "oh! This lead back to where I was, maybe something changed", making things pretty confusing, as though time itself hadn't passed since then.

The story is okay, it's not bad at all, and it really keeps the game going. The only problem I had with it is that, by re-visiting maps that weren't intended to be re-visited, I kinda broke its flow a little bit.

So yeah, pretty fun game, okay story, presentation that goes a bit overboard with simplicity and a few programming/design problems.

it was a intresting game and I see what you did with the story but I had to stop half way through because I got stuck and wasn't able to get to the green stuff because there was fire underneath so just check your level designs a bit more so people don't get caucht in surten spaces other then that you have something good

Very interesting! I think its a very good platformer but, there isn't a reset button. That is my only problem because, I got stuck in between something. Long story short, your game is superb and I hope you add what I suggested. Merry Christmas (or happy Hanukkah; happy Kwanzaa; ETC) and a happy New Year oh, btw: OBEY TEH DERPACHU XD

Over all this was very enjoyable. There could be more colors, but the game play was solid. The level design was quite devious with some check points being far away from the next goal causing enjoyable spikes in difficulty.
I would move some of the check points to be away or no longer inside of the lava/fire. However, it seems like that was done on purpose. Maybe add a medal for getting to the end with under a certain amount of "burn"? I had 1263 when I got the heart on the end screen. Maybe add a timer to do a speed run medal too?

One last thing, some of the fire damaged me even if I was right next to it. It may be a good idea to have a slightly smaller hit box inside of the player that the fire would hit then cause a reset. That way you don't have to worry about these kinds of small errors when placing objects. There were similar 1 block wide gaps that did not cause this issue.

I hope to see more games from you!
