"Meh. Not really impressed."
date: July 2, 2007
Graphics- Poorly drawn. Not to mention that there was a lot of
flashing going on.
Style- It really was not realistic. Sure, it can be considered a joke,
and and that's fine. Being shot by a computer monitor isn't
exactly "fresh" material, might I add.
Sound- Just a bunch of gunshots, and nothing more.
Violence- Watching a shot in the head really doesn't phase me.
Interactivity- I sat in my chair watching a guy click around a flashing
screen for much longer that it needed to last.
Humor- Well, I guess being shot by your own computer is mildly
amusing to some, but I really have seen much better.
Overall- I really do NOT want to sound mean, but this doesn't have
much thought put into it at all. My suggestion is to improve
the graphics, shorten the time to the comedic scene by just
a sliver, and have a more surprising outcome. An example
for an improved version could be...
-Smoother images, with less repetitive animation. A flashing screen
is fine, due to the fact it may be difficult putting game footage in
there.
-Try "hinting" to what may be coming. If the guy is going to be shot in
head, maybe have him do something to give the viewer a clue as to
his fate?
-A cute finish to this would be either dialog or text that mocks the
guy. An example would be "OWNAGE!" written on the computer
screen.
