As the tittle says, a short but full effort battle sprite flash featuring Sanji and Kizaru from the anime One Piece :) hope you like it as my brother did

It might have sync problems the first time you play it, sorry, I don´t know why this happens :/

何で途中でゾロが来てんだよ 一対一じゃねぇのかよ

Lol, Thought I'd come and check out your sprite animations :P
Well I'm an OP fans so I loved it !!
and other than the small stuff like [no sfx, better quality]
It was an action packed animations with some smooth moves ^^
Great Job!

BigroomBlitz responds:

Thanks :) I have the hope that i'll improve with the time

Well not bad, have definitely seen worse but still it could have been much more appealing if you added a few things such as:

1.) Sound effects. Come on, we don't want to just hear the music playing in the back ground. Sound effects can increase the quality of your animation by a staggering amount and make it seem much more enticing and invigorating than it would have been without it. Please, for your next sprite videos please add them. Find some on Google or I can even send you some and add em in.

2.) The Quality of your sprites. I'm not saying they have to be in 1020 HD Quality (which would be fucking awesome if possiblle) but the sprites looked crusty and JPEGY. That is a No-No. You need to make sure all of your images are PNG's first of all, and make sure in Flash that you set your Publish Quality to 100 % (The default is 70).

3.) Last but not least, the battle itself. Even though the fight looked pretty good, was fast and exciting and had was planned nicely, you should have slowed it down a bit to give the viewers more to see than just kicking and light spamming. It didn't even seem that they were even getting hurt at all, just hit after hit and they kept taking them without showing fatigue. You need to clearly show that the damage your characters take in battle is reflected in their performance (for instance, if Sanji takes alot of damage then he should obviously begin to get tired and not perform as well as he did in the beginning).

All of these tips can really boost your animation, though it was really great to see that sprite animations aren't completely dead yet.

Good work.

BigroomBlitz responds:

Thanks for your tips :D!! they're welcome, and i have to apologize, i know about the quality of the sprites and sound but the size of the swf. file increased so much because of them so I decided to leave it with that quality, but I sure will find the way to add these two in my future animations, the battle tips are great too i didn't have think about the fatigue before so thank you!!

What's the name of the music?

BigroomBlitz responds:

Texas Fagot - Back to Mad

Well, though the tags does include "crap" this is at the very least, "mediocre" compared to other stuff out there. It's nice to see an okay sprite fight there and then, reminds me why I enjoy Newgrounds and Newgrounds animations. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars for the music being to f***ing loud. Seriously, I'm glad I didn't have headphones on, but at the same time I'm not trying to wake up the neighborhood. For future sprite films, I STRONGLY recommend to edit the volume of music, especially when it comes to Flash films where there is no control for the volume. You've got skills to make decent Sprite Fights, but looking at this, you need some more practice. Which is not a bad thing. Everyone who's made top of the line flashes rather hand drawn or sprite worked has had to start somewhere and eventually got better and became legends. Consider this your start, in time you will find your calling, and the one video will make you known to all.

BigroomBlitz responds:

i'm so sorry about the music :S to be honest i think the same about it but my brother keep saying to me to upload it with that track, i might re-upload it with the other song I was thinking about, and thnx for the constructive critcism :) but i would like as well if you told me the things I need to improve
