i can't give more than a three-star review because I encountered a game breaking bug. On my fifth generation character, i picked the first character type, then went into the spells menu to create a spell from my inherited runes. it would not let me select the different rune slots and instead firefox(latest version) crashed. when i restored the tab, i continued my game and my character was placed in the top left corner of an empty map with yellow brick floors. my maximum hp and fp are negative values (current hp is 0), and if i rest my fp continuously increases and i become "overwhelmed by flux". if i try to modify spells my game crashes again. Otherwise i really enjoyed playing it. TIP FOR STAYING ALIVE: use the vamk and blood artifacts together with an attack rune with a high power/fp cost ratio. you will pay the fp with your health, but get healed for 2/3 of your damage, which is much more!

Very well made with all of the elements of an old RPG! I Love it as I have not played many games like it!

loved the game, though i found certain details in the inner working of different rune combos, the buff spell are never affected by certain artifact runes that boost power in certain cases like the level of unused flux or how much health you have or how many enemies are in sight. also there were issues regarding effect/damage/healing priorities that im sure someone has mentioned already, where healing is negated by damage being counted first in priority. everything else was amazingly well done....i am however very confused with the ending...i thought i killed the archmage and he never did any real damage to me....but during him fading and the building shaking....i "died" from basically that a glitch or is that how is actually ends? or was i supposed to escape the room at some point? im lost.

After you beat the Archmage a screen that is very similar to the 'game over' screen shows up, but instead of saying you died it says you've become the new archmage, that's probably what happened.
I know it's a pretty terrible ending, there doesn't really happen anything, but I didn't know what else to do.

The effects of most artifacts actually happen after you cast the spell, so there's a lot of weird interactions with that, I know it's really confusing, sorry about that :(

Anyway, I'm glad you had fun, thanks for your feedback.
