My entry for the NATA 2014 Novice Round.
The theme was "through the eyes of a stranger"-- the strangers, in this case, being the kid affected by the music and those who react against the artist during the aftermath.
First time I've ever tried doing a "serious" cartoon. Hope you guys like it.

Absolutely loved this. One thing I noticed is how the media focuses on the music listened to by the shooter, rather than the actual motivations of the shooter, (i.e. rejection, bullying, etc). It shows how our society is quick to make rash decisions, rather than look deeper to find a rational solution to the issues brought up. It's funny to think that well thought out, well written animations like this, are on the same website as the infamous animations made by someone who we'll just say probably had a lot of "regret", in him.

wow, this was deep....
i liked how you showed everything as it was.. and i always thought that its UNFAIR that an artist, can get accused for his/her music if someone decides to do a crime while listening to that music.
i also liked that you showed how this can be a vice circle, that violence and hate can give birth to more hate and crime....
(because all those who hated the music artist, were hateful, and thus they ruined his career and made him to become violent towards his own people.)

good message, and nice animation.
keep it up yo
