My entry for the Construct 2030 Game Jam.

I suspect that protesting in the future is going ot be hard... (Do not be deceived by the 1st level, the game gets pretty hard later)

This is my first HTML5 game, so all feedback will be appreciated!

(I wanted to add more stuff, but the free version is capped)

About the Music:

The awesome theme used in the game is no longer on NG!

It is an unfinished experimental theme that I downloaded years ago. I have linked another nice song from the same author (Tomppaah), and I hope to see this theme finished any day.

Gameplay is exactly like flappy birds, not original at all, but the theme of future is excellent. nice work. Next time try to be a little more original. :)

A well made clone. Nothing original, but nothing bad. A good addition to the 2030 competition. Despite being unrelated to the theme.

This game only has one playthrough so far, but I am stopping while I am ahead before this turns into another Cookie Clicker-like addiction for me, it is entertaining, has excellent controls and some challenge, and then became double entertaining as I realized there could be a super complex story behind this, get it's own little "Protest Series" series of games, like the next one could be a sort of RTS where you have various units (regular protesters are the standard "mooks", conscientious objectors would be medics as they usually become IRL, guys with molotovs being our physically frail close range but high damaging ranged unit, our guy with the sign being either a hero unit or a "General" that gives a bonus of some kind... Protest stands being like barracks... I'll stop now).

All in all, this has further potential in the story on how this government is highly corrupt, seeing how they respond to peaceful protesting (peaceful implied by the cheerful "Yay!" when you get a follower) with lethal force. Maybe a stealth game in the future as an internal security spy who's job on any given mission could be something like "Take these files from here and put them over there, because the guy with the files won't let me extort him."

Awesome game.

ClockworkMonster responds:

Very interesting... I´ll have to think about it.
