The year is 2030 and humans have paid little regard to the state of the planet. For decades they ignored the damage that they were causing as they thoughtlessly threw their waste into the oceans.

....Until, that is, the Singularity Event.

The accumulation of discarded metals, bio-material and hydro-carbons congealed in the center of the Pacific Ocean. It was estimated to weigh 200 million metric tonnes when it became self aware.

Defend the planet using your remote control quad-copter and destroy the waves of unearthly monsters. You have the chance to become a wealthy hero, or the world will come to an end - it's all down to you! There are upgrades and boss fights - so you can enjoy blasting your way to becoming a wealthy hero!

Consider this as a trial of a bigger game I hope to make. It was made for a Construct 2 game jam and I hope that it satisfies your inner need to blow stuff up.

If you like what you see - let me know and I'll get to work making it bigger and better. If you think I'm misguided, give me some advice and I'll fix it. If you think I'm wasting my time then I'll get my coat!

I ALMOST gave up on this game, but it turns out there ARE instructions, if you read all the way through the INTRO. Not really good to hide them away like that.

Anyway, the story is pretty interesting. I've never seen the Great Pacific Garbage Patch used in a video game, which is good! I like the crowdfunded attack campaign idea, too. And Gyruss is one of those games that always deserves a good remake.

Not a bad game and concept. Something buggy happened on level 4 though. There as a pill bottle or something at the side of the screen that I assume was supposed to be in the middle. Also, you can upgrade far to quickly, which makes the game to easy.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into why there could be a buggy sprite on that level. Blast it! I hear the upgrade point - thanks again.
