You are a Beast Master! Save the island of Gaia from a lurking evil with the help of fearless allies. Discover over 150 extraordinary creatures and train them to fight. Lead your creatures to victory in turn-based battles where good tactics are key!

Start the game by creating your own avatar. Your Beast Academy instructor will then teach you about the creatures; you will eventually select 6 with which to fight. Every creature is unique, possessing different health, strengths, and attack patterns: ranged (bow icon), area (explosion icon), and melee (sword icon). You cannot play a creature twice in a row and you must play with each creature once before using that creature again. There are also various items that will boost your creatures' powers. These items are divided into three categories: weapon, armor, and magical. You can only hold one of each type at a time, so choose wisely.

I really enjoyed this, except for a few minor bugs. occasionally I would spend the gold to upgrade a creature only to have the upgrade not register. also greatly disliked the creature purchase screen, wish it had been grouped into categories by attack type for ease of reference. My greatest complaint was that after gathering all four orbs there was NOTHING else to do. I got no end sequence, no closure to the game at all. I moved to every square on the map and that was simply the end, leaving me hanging
