Swifty Beams is a hilariously difficult platformer where you fall as far as you can without getting lasered. It was originally created for the Flappy Jam in February 2014.

I enjoy this game a lot! Can't seem to beat my high score of 7 however lol The sound it makes when you get blasted by a laser as well as the particle explosion reminds me of megaman so it makes this game feel nostalgic in a way!

Great job! Very simple fun game and clean graphics!

it kinda reminds me of that one level in Megaman 2. Good game though.

Yeah it's hilariously difficult. But you get to 10 or 15 score here, and realize, it's barely playable, which is a fucking stupid waste of everyone's effort. Why not instead next time (perhaps in some kind of sequel), just make a good game that's fun to play? After all, I see some potential here, I'd say this is a decent start.
I think a "quick-fall" button would be interesting. Also, maybe if some indicator told the player which side the laser was going to come from instead of just being random (seemed pretty random to me) then that little bit of anticipation could make the game playable. Checkpoints, levels, and a general progression could turn this game into kind of a "downward Sonic" game. Hell, maybe the player could jump and dodge upwards at some points. It could actually be fun.
But this is not.
