The game has been updated, i'm REALLY hoping i didn't break any save files... because i think i did. Music can be muted now and if the game failed to save it SHOULD tell you, and it should finish the level regardless.
Anyway, huge thanks to everyone so far for playing! Awesome reponse! And another huge thanks for getting me to the Daily Picks 3rd place, that was awesome!
Here is the more or less finished version of my lovely first Stencyl game!
A HUGE thanks to all of my friends for the hours of beta testing they did for me and to MadMark for doing some "last minute" guitar riffs for background music.
Extended description (please excuse any typos):
Hope you guys enjoy this game that i have been working on since the start of 2014 pretty much, kind of ran out of time refining stuff for the Stencyl Jam. I ended up with no time left to do a decent ending or request any lengthy quality music tracks. eg.: a boss battle theme, a fitting track for the tutorial stage,...
The game was kind of themed around the fact that i was going to use music from Binärpilot, but i wasn't sure if this game was going to end up being a commercial "thing"... so yeah, a really good buddy of mine ended up throwing together a quick neat guitar track in Ohm Studio.
Anyways, i'm hoping this does pretty well. I plan on following a game design course this year, and this would probably help a lot towards boosting my confidence in my abilities somewhat. :)
- Leaderboards get the right output, but don't seem to refresh for whatever reason. (eg.: when you open the board for level 1, it keeps showing that same board on every level) I can't fix this as far as i know. But you can still view the boards perfectly fine outside the game.
Feel free to post some comments or pm me about bugs you find, since bugs keep popping up with every update!
