Journey through galaxies in a prototype spacecraft, traversing as many lightyears from home as you can. Manage your resources wisely to survive the infinite encounters you will face in the unchartered regions of space. The further you travel, the more difficult the challenges. Part adventure and part puzzle, this game is as vast and unique as the universe through which you will voyage.

The icons on the left are the ship's systems. Click or tap on Engines to go into either jump or wrap drive. Defeat hostile enemies with Weapons and/or Shields. Replenish systems by playing the minigames, following brief instructions at the top of each game. Mistakes will cost Health! Playing games also uses your rare resource Trance. Replenish Trance by traveling or exchanging goods with friendly travelers. At game's end, enter your call sign to compare your light-year distance with others.

The minigames will change and become more difficult the further you travel. Be careful not to confuse the CopyCat game with the Reflector game. Also increasing with distance is the likelihood of having to face challenges and solve puzzles simultaneously. Watch for opportunities to exchange your goods or even upgrade your systems.

Pretty addicting short-term. The randomness can get frustrating, grinding mini-games and ending up getting shields and health over and over until you get stuck. On the other hand, the randomness is part of the fun, the amount of mini-games you have to play through to get that one resource you need just gets a bit much. Still a good time-killer.

Glad you enjoyed this game, bob298! I love the randomness of this game :)

This would have been more fun if it were for having to grind through annoying mini-games wasting up Trance on crap you don't need just to get what you do need, especially when you're out of ammo and in a fight.

This game seems like it's trying to be FTL, but it's not as good.

It became boring almost immediately, when I ended up sitting there, wishing to move on, but needing fuel and getting shield energy over and over, which was entirely full. And then I found out the entire game is grinding the mini-games hoping you'll get what you need before running out of Trance.

Imagine if this were the system for buying things in an RPG. You talk to the shop keep only to have to play a mini-game first, then a roulette start up, and whatever it lands on, you have to buy. But if you mess up in the mini-game, you lose HP.
The game would sell extremely poorly, and drum up so many bad reviews, a whole new story would surface about how that RPG was buried in the desert in Nevada.

It just doesn't work. It might sound good on paper, but it's tedious and not fun at all.

A tutorial would help. Or even description for buttons. Not a very intuitive game for what its trying to be.

TreSensa responds:

Thanks for the review, Keyota! I'm going to add some instructions to the description now; hopefully that will help. For some reason, the tutorial doesn't seem to be appearing for all users (there should be one the first time you play the game, so you might try clearing your cache).

yea... so the game kept freezing when i pushed the new career button... i refreshed the browser multiple times and even restarted it twice. the game looks cool, but if i cant play it, i cant like it.

TreSensa responds:

Oh no! Sorry about that, eivilcow33. Not sure what happened there. The game is playing fine on our end, but there may have been an issue with the server. I hope you were able to play it eventually.
