Here comes a shooter that will wipe out all pesky comicbook nerds. ComicBookMovie is about the journey of Brix the Stickguy who hates nerds who like light-hearted and generic movies. Join him as he fight his way through waves of enemies. Destroy all the annoying nerds once and for all. There are 12 intense levels with lots of weapons and upgrades and 6 challenging boss fights.

Mouse to control the hero. Keys 1, 2, 3, 4 for special attack 1. Spacebar for special attack 2.

I found it really of annoying that the character can't navigate the entire screen ad there's no visual clue about the border.

Not a bad game, the audio needs fixing, the volume fluctates and it is somewhat irritating.

Immediate questions: Why is Brix the stickguy so violently against comic book movies?
Why should I care about his hatred? And why on earth would we, the target audience, being nerds, not find this annoying and/or offensive in the first place? No reasons are given, and no plot is to be had in the entirety of the game, and I find myself caring not at all about when I die, nor do I feel a sense of achievement for defeating any of the given bosses. Except all the bosses are the same, anyway.

This is described as a shooter, but plays more like a bullet hell with an extra large hit box. The tracking is very imprecise and "floaty", so I found myself doing graceful loops around bullets with my mouse while "Brix" sort of... drifted through bullets? and died. alot.
The graphics look like they're meant to be a mockery of more modern graphics, but the 8 bit soundtrack clashes horribly, and covers all sound effects aside from the badly rendered "cling" of collected coins.
Normal enemies followed pre-arranged paths and scripts, and could easily be avoided for the most part.
The recurring boss swapped costumes alot, but never added anything new to its kit, making the fight repetative and bland. The fact that the boss dropped exactly the same amount of cash as the normal minions, and lack of explanation about why the bosses had to die (see above, to whit, lack of plot) meant there was no sense of accomplishment.

In fact, it felt like I played the same 2 levels 6 times in a row, to defeat the same guy with weird costume changes 6 times in a row, for no... particular... reason.

Major miss, people. Skip it if you can. (And I really really dislike whoever upvoted it enough for it to hit the front page.)
