Not bad. For a development period of only a month, this is impressive. The music is great, and compliments the atmosphere well. The design is simple, which isn't always a bad thing. In this case it only helps to amplify the simple nature of the game. The one flaw that needs to be adressed are the controls. They feel a bit too loose. Often I would feel like I was running on ice or jumping in low gravity, that's never good for a platformer.
Love the tone and atari feel, but the controls need work. The player moves between too slow and too fast with no good transition.

The game is hard and nostalgic. Well the game is hard but the difficulty seems to be unfair you will understand what l mean. The game is a combination of sonic bomberman and a little bit of donkey kong but the sonic theme is kinda broken in sonic you are fast and in this game you're not this makes the coin life mechanic broken and the glitches happen almost everytime making it more unfair. The art is good and that also goes for the sprites of the redman. The sound is limited so only somethings will make sound making the atmosphere kinda dead. The music is average. And the controls are kinda floppy sometimes. The levels are creative and also hard. This is not your first game so l suggest that you put more effort on the games you make. My final rating for this game is a 3/5 the game is average and there's a lot of other 16 bit games here in newgrounds that are better to relive the old good times. sorry for my bad english i'm from norway P.S The redman reminds me of a titan from attack on titan.
The coin mechanism is only here to give the player another chance while he hurts something, it makes the game easier.
I find cleaver the way this rings are used in Sonic, that's why I kept this idea for the game.
My intention wasn't to have a rapid character, maybe the acceleration should be less impressive and not be the source of a confusion.
