Liquor Goblin - Episode #1 - Regrets, I've Jihad A Few

A Muslim terrorist prepares for an infamous airplane hijacking on September 11th, 2001.

*NOTE: If you are still sensitive to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 please do not watch this cartoon.

The concept for "Regrets, I've Jihad A Few" came from a discussion Willie and I had while driving around one night. Willie started acting out the characters and it made me laugh enough to turn it into a cartoon.

The point of this cartoon was to make terrorists look like normal every day people who are just doing their job. It was not meant to make fun of 9/11 victims. But people are going to look at this however they want so just go ahead and get offended.

and this, my friends, is an example of a society. Because in an unhealthy society, we would be RAPED, MAIMED MURDERED AND TORTURED for making a cartoon like this. thank oyu for screaming freedom from the rooftops, my friend.

thank you. And it was funny, too. my love to every person in the world.

Just plain bad I'm afraid. Let me be clear though, my opinion on this has NOTHING to do with the fact it revolves ((poorly)) around 9/11. Honestly, that's what sets this cartoon apart from others though...but it's just not enough to make up for the horrendous dialogue.

You had me for maybe about...a minute and a half. But after the 4th "Yknow I get 40 virgins" bit, it got pretty old. That seemed to be your ONLY joke. I know you threw out a couple of other "chuckles" like "omg we use goat grease! HA, we're SOOOOO FOREIGN" Not an exact quote, but that is how it came across.

Most of the dialogue comes from a TERRIBLE impersonation of an Adam Sandler pacing lead man. It comes across poorly as you rely heavily on it to try and make things "humorous" and it just falls apart with the inconsistent dialogue. I'm glad YOU found it all funny enough to make the cartoon, but for me personally, I found it to be a let down.

You set the bar high using material such as 9/11, and everything came out sub-par. I can see the rare magic moments you thought WOULD be funny enough, and maybe, perhaps, if it was a shorter cartoon...it would have worked. If the only thing presented to me had been the cartoon from the instant he begins speaking on the plane, until the end, that woulda been just enough of a dose of everything to make it a decent job. But as it stands now...it's just kinda iffy. All of the flaws end up becoming the focus and none of the worth while stuff gets to shine.

The animation and visuals themselves were alright, and I enjoyed all of the "sight gags" such as the turban getting shot off and a tiny little man taking a bath in the bucket. But I really didn't get to enjoy these as that terrabad voice acting and dialogue just keep up their barrage of hit and miss.

Anywho, bold attempt. You didn't get a laugh out of me, but you did get a reaction. And a reaction is all I'm sure you are hoping for and expecting. But remember, just because someone yells fire in a theatre and people run, does not mean they are a good actor, and just because you get a reaction for your work, does not ALWAYS mean you are heading in the right direction.

Thanks for the distraction, good work, wonder what else you've got in you.

Heh, turns out these terrorists are just ordinary people after all. :P It was a fun, plenty of comical dialog and not the particularly disturbing imagery I was expecting... though I guess if I had been somehow affected by the 9/11 incident I might've thought differently. Hmm, so this is episode 1, looks like the goblin'll be in charge of a poetical piece for each one of these unrelated episodes? Series makes me think there's a continuation, but I guess not? Nice work on this, looking forward to the next one!

Funny though I bet a lot people will find this offensive. But jokes are jokes and if people can't handle them, they should stay away from comedy. Keep it up!
