I loved the game, I thought that everything about it was amazing . The platformer style, the music, the objective, and some might not agree, but even the art style was amazing. I loved it and you did an amazing job with this game, keep up the nice work!

Once the game opened with "made with Stencyl" I thought the worst of this game. Turns out I wasn't far off. It looks as stock as you can get, and from someone who's played around with Stencyl a bit I can tell that even the mechanics are as stock as you can get. Not to mention, this is the most generic thing ever for a 42-hour game. You get games with radical concepts that have only been done once or twice, and then you have a bland, tasteless platformer that Nintendo could have done in 19XX.

This is the first game i have ever made by myself also im new to stencyl. Also my first Ludum Dare of 48 hours. I know my shortcomings and my triumphs here, yes the mechanics are somewhat stock, yes the graphics arent the greatest, the level design is ok, but i had sooooo much fun making it. Ontop of that i learned a bunch! I will make better games in the future!
PS: Nintendo in the 19XXs brought us some of the greatest games ever!!! so yeah! :-)

The overall idea of the game should be explained more in detail, like give it a story to why the stick figure is trying to escape, and whatever those things are that you collect in the game, give a reason why we are collecting them. The soundtrack is a bit too receptive. And controls tend to mess up here and there.

Thank You for the review! I appreciate all the input possible! ( since i created this game in 48 hours for LD28, i know there would be alot of shortcomings)
But I do plan on investing more time into making One Stick! a better game.
Storyline and such most definately needs some explaining your right.
The Things he picks up are Wads of Paper Balls :-) Thinking of Maybe a countdown timer and the paper balls add more time?
Can u further explain receptive? and how the controls mess up exactly?
