WASD or Arrows to move, typical snake rules apply (don't touch yourself or the walls) plus there's a hunger bar so make sure you eat enough apples. Press the M button to mute sound

Like the music, game was a bit hard for me personally, also the snake goes below screen sometimes at the bottom not sure if that's intentional or a mistake.

Snake, only faster, nothing too special.

Good for a first game, I like the hunger bar, give a little intensity when you reach those low hunger levels. but there are three things which annoyed me.
1: The music is unstoppable and I like to wear headphones and when I turned on the game I nearly deafened me. The music is good but just a little unexpected.
2: The Game play is basic but except for the hunger bar, it doesn't bring anything really new to the table, but still to take the risk no matter how small, was bold for your first game.
3: There are a little too much stuff on the screen. I played snake when I was younger and it told the score and that was it. Frankly the X and Y axis is a waste of space, and if adapted correctly you could put everything you put in the border, in the game screen, making more play room and doesn't basically next to impossible to control when you become bigger and bigger.
Final Thoughts: I'm giving you a 3/ 5 stars because it was a basic game, nothing really new, but for a first game I'm impressed you tried the hunger bar idea.

1) You can mute the music using that M button in the corner. I probably should have mentioned that, oops. I added it into the description.
2) There were a few other features I had going around my head, but I have a problem with getting carried away with ideas, overwhelming myself, and dropping a project. I'm trying to find a good balance with that.
3) You made a good point, I definitely need to work on it. I have a few sides of A4 for another project just detailing the layout, but perhaps I should look into it more seriously and do some research.

Thanks for the detailed feedback!

Not too bad, classic snake game, but the background resembling something, and the food actually shown as food in the form of apples.
The snake is more or less same snake from the mobile games, I would of at least gave the front of the snake an actual snake head, whether an 8-bit or hand drawn one.

The music is fantastic.

Its decent for what it is. Nice music helps it along, but no sound or visual effects leaves it really lacking. Since there are so many thousands of takes on the Snake game, you need something to pull it apart from others. And fix the title!
