A few years back I lost a close friend I'd had since childhood. His death was tragic and left me in a state of grief that I was having trouble dealing with. I decide to make a film about what I was going through. It's called: Snow Hare.

The film itself is about a snowshoe hare going through the stages of grief. It was my senior film at Cal State Long Beach and consumed the last few semesters of my time there. It was a lot of work, but along the journey I met many like minded friends that helped me to believe in my story. Everyday I drew pictures and thought about my lost friend. In the end, making the film was the best therapy I could have asked for.

very sad yet teaches us a lesson that you, nor your friends, can live forever.
and the crow that leaves the hares body symbolizes the acceptance of his friends death.

I hope your friend Bryan Banister finds happiness where ever is. and I mean that!

Respectfully

First off, I would like to thank you for sharing your deeply personal feelings regarding your friendship and the loss of the one close to you. Furthermore, I must say - well done. The animation presented here is fantastic and reminds me of high quality cartoons from the late 80's and early 90's. The music is well put and of great selection.

Great job. I've no doubt that your friend would be honored and very pleased with your work ^^

That was incredible, I love it. If that took you only a small period of your time, than I bet you could make a even more awesome animation with more time. I'm sorry about your friend.
