I'm going to be reducing the upload frequency the next few days to weeks to find some order in this chaos. Only noticeable improvement in this painting is the use of opacity but be prepared for the return of cracked tooth toons in the future.

Imitation is the first step, you eventaully have to be able to re create using your own poses. Pretty simple either way.

The commentary was entertaining, and the tutorial itself can be helpful in teaching people to draw. That being said, I personally do not think Newgrounds is the place for this. Because of how you chose to present it, it feels like something that would fit better on YouTube.

And I'm sorry to say, the actual artwork doesn't look very good either. You switch to the reference material a little too often, and the whole thing just looks a bit amateurish. It looks like you half-assed some of the coloring towards the end.

Well, I think if you feel like you reached a "plateau" in your skills, maybe it's time to get input from somewhere else. Instead of trying to draw from other drawing (cartoons), try painting from real life, like from photos. Take some art classes, buy some tutorials from gnomon workshop (or others, there is tons of them) in concept art or character drawing or something. Get some art books. You need to get a hold of "brushes" in digital painting, shading, light, perspective, color theory, proportions and all... there is a shit ton to learn. Doing the same thing over and over won't get you too far, honestly. Practice makes perfect, yes, but you need the theory first, then practice the hell out of it. Just my 2 cents, all the best, cheers!
