This was only made for fun as a response to a tumblr post, don't take it too seriously.
Please keep an open mind while playing. Thank you.

Also I would like to note that this is in no way meant to insult cis people in general, I'm sorry for giving that impression and apologize to anyone that might have felt insulted.
If you are hateful against transgender people or any other group, please feel insulted.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for improvement, please let me know.

For added fun while playing: Be transgender.

I like that this is trying to put cisgendered people into the role of transgendered people, and to give some people some insight into what it's like to be consistently misrepresented and judged. On the other hand... you missed two things. One is that the pressure for the body to conform to the mind doesn't suit everyone. While some people are obviously better off having sex correction surgery, others only suffer due to the expectation from heteronormative society to look like this or that, and from other trans people to be a 'typical trans person' otherwise you're not 'real'. It can invalidate a person as much as pronoun misuse etc.

My other problem is that this is very gender-binary. A 'No' option at the start would be pretty good... I know some trans people like to think that genderqueer individuals are attention seeking or fake though. It's funny to see trans people say the same stuff about genderqueer people as cis people do about trans people. But I assume it's just an oversight in your case.

This is only really meant to be a representation of what transsexual (as in people who seek hrt etc.) people go to in contrast to trans* in general.
But I think if you not focus too much on the ending screen and the game over screen it still works as something that is relevant to all trans* individuals.

But the focus of the game comes from the original idea as stated in the description, which was written by a transsexual person.
Also there is a gender nonbinary option which you can unlock by getting a certain score. It actually even says "No" as the option. So I wouldn't call it an oversight, just what the original idea was focused on.

Although I'm glad that there are more games tackling the issues facing transgendered people, I feel this was a little simplistic in its approach. Perhaps a sequel could touch more on the processes involved in changing gender?

Also, "Ze" isn't necessarily a bad pronoun to use. I have a FtM trans friend who preferred to be referred to as ze during his transitional phase.

...Befuddled me, quite a bit, not so much offended. Even so, surprisingly fun. Could you make a mode where the correct pronouns don't flash, like... A difficult one? Might sound silly, but this was enjoyable, for some reason. Particularly the music, very chippy. Just, er, the strangeness of this is what's keeping this lower for me. Other than that, for a joke game, you put actual effort into it. So, good job, I suppose.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will think about adding something like this.

You appear to be invincible if you park in a corner and leave a paperweight on the spacebar.

Thank you for letting me know.
Fixed it and updated some things to make the overall game a bit more challenging. Also added a new shoot pattern for more variety.

All other things aside, the instructions take a frustratingly long time to sit through, there is no way to skip them, and you have to sit through them every time you retry the first level.

I'm going to ignore the topic of debating whether or not you've villainized cissexuals, since you appear to have apologized for that (hopefully, you'll be more careful in labelling enemies in the future).

I will follow your request and not take the rest of the game too seriously. The music wasn't annoying (as compared to so many other games on this site), so that's a plus.
