A platformer game where the character must traverse a city filled with traps. The game is difficult; skill, timing and perseverance is required.

It is the sequel to my game Phosphor, but playing Phosphor is not necessary.

If you find any bugs please post them in the comments.

Update 1:
- Changed sfx volume levels
- Changed the hitbox of the first broken pier
- Added small walls after some checkpoints before spikes to prevent people from repeatedly running into them

Update 2:
- Improved on platforming/mechanics or whatever you want to call it
- Added a suicide button
- Improved on the conveyor belt into the pit section
- Improved on the spike that chases you section
- Improved on the running animation
- Changed some parts of the ground in certain areas

Update 3:
- Fixed being able to use the suicide button during the train section
- Fixed being stuck under a lowered air vent
- Various cosmetic changes

Update 4:
- Fixed the bug with the crushers on the stairs

Eh. I see it's potential, but it just isn't executed right. It may just not be my cup of tea, in that other people are saying it's really good. Note: I have not fully completed this game yet (I don't know how far I am due to the lack of levels), so please correct me if I mention something that isn't true.

Well, first, the story. And...there is none. Your just an adventurer...Okay, that much isn't even explained. Now, you're thinking, That's the nature of modern platformers. But in a game this difficult, and I'm supposed to be afraid of what's to come, it's really hard to be that without a story stapled onto it. Even a simple, "You got lost on the way home." would bump up the score. Again, if there's something at the end, let me know.

And next up is the art. Yeah. You're a stickman. Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE stickmen games. But the rest of the art is the same, a few straight lines- With one exception, and what I liked most about the game- The opening. It's what this game needs so much more of but was afraid to execute in fear of breaking its precious formula.

And lastly, the gameplay, which I have mixed feelings about. It's fun, but it sure has its flaws. The difficulty doesn't actually make the game more difficult. It limits your lives. Maybe you could make it instead shorten your jumps. That would be good. The jumps fail at times, and there's lag everywhere.

Please just keep going with this game. Pump out updates, make sequels. It has potential. I want to see it grow as a game. Aurorae gets itself a 5/10. I didn't really like it, but if you got some time to kill, maybe you'll have fun with it.

I give this 4 stars because the jump button sometimes fails, but I don't think that this deserves anything under 4 stars because the silhouette appearance is nice, and the FPS was pretty good.

I put 4 stars

semaphor responds:

OK I need to fix that bug, also remember you can kill yourself by pressing K, Thanks.

Edit: Fixed the bug.

That damned conveyor belt jump .___. wasted about 5 minutes and 100 lives on that and now hes just riding the belt to death

semaphor responds:

It is a puzzle. Here's a hint: Think outside the frame.
