Foxes actually do make sounds. They're called "barks" or "calls" but really, they're screams. And when I say screams, I mean screams that a human - perhaps a young child - might make if they were being tortured to death and were in incredible pain. If you hear a fox call in the woods, you'd be absolutely convinced that someone is being murdered nearby. You will look upon that fox as it screams, its mouth opening like the abyss, its eyes staring into your hidden soul, and you will lose your faith in a loving God. You may begin to believe that foxes are demons in corporeal form (There is no evidence to disprove this theory).

They also make a sound called "gekkering" which is a mix between clicking and the cries of some kind of demented bird.

Foxes speak the language of terror.
