NONSENSE! After an unfortunate incident, Socrates Jones must debate a host of philosophers in order to win back his life. More than slightly inspired by the Ace Attorney series.
Authors note: This is for real this time, by the actual creators! The person who was pretending to be us didn't even upload the most recent version. That's just lazy game theft, that is.
Just one word - wow. I am big fan of games and the philosophy, so this game was amazing experience: dialogues with the greatest thinkers accompanied by beautiful art, catchy and not annoying soundtrack and unexpected action twists. Well, I am only missing Nietzsche - his views on morality was truly original. Waiting for more.
Absolutely spectacular! Usually I find largely text-based games lacking, but this one has everything necessary. In fact, it was so great, I played it all the way through, even though my brain really was killing me.
Some superb aspects:
-Humor, the philosophers were spot on, I just loved it
-NONSENSE! (I don't know, that was just gratifying for me.)
-Ability to question, even when I was stuck because my ideas weren't directly conveyed by the options available, I could probe enough to get at the point I was searching for
-Length, though it may seem a bit long, each person added a new challenge, I especially love the questioning of your own conclusions bit as I had been doing that all along
-Shock value, no explanation needed
I really can't find any negatives, unless philosophy isn't your thing, in which case you would hate the game. But if that were the case, you would have quit with the salesman.
Thank you, sir.
Love it. The last part was difficult but I did it!!. A good game that teachs you about philosophy in a interesting way.
PD: And it's was like playing Phoenix Wright too!! *w*.
how did you come up with the dialogues?
We had a philosophy professor working with us, and we went back and forth until we came up with something that worked for each debate. And then, I added a liberal dose of stupid jokes. =)
