Trade oil, protect your city from hostile creatures.
I thought this game was pretty confusing. I like the fact that you have to trade and sell oil, But I don't like the fact that you have to protect the town, Other than that, This game was pretty fun to play.
Too confusing for me.
man this is so luck reliant...i like the fact the game is about stock exchange because i am stock broker...but i never have to deal with goo monsters.... :P
I found this game very confusing, but well done
i actually beat it my first try. here's a nice little strategy
First general game info:
-The market is 100% you the more you buy the more things cost the less you buy the cheaper everything is
-oil is never below 10 gold
-mines are never below 7 gold
-only buy things when they're really cheap (i.e. mines only at 7 and oil no more than 20)
-buy oil in bulk and sell it for no less than 40 gold
-let the market fluctuate and keep in mind to buy enough mines per monster
same basic strategy but here are side notes
-if you do a red deal leave one carrier open idk if i was just lucky o if this actually works but my chances always seemed improved
-build up a good amount of gold using this strategy until phase 3
the strategy here shifts a good amount
- buy oil at any price and only buy 50 at a time (this will shoot the price up immensely)
-still buy mines at 7 gold but buy 200 at a time and only buy if under 20
- only sell oil above what you're paying in small quantities (this will ensure huge growth)
*exception to rule*
if its a non red deal but considerably above what you're paying (i.e. you pay 300 per and they're paying 600 per) sell a large amount but don't hit under 100 oil or you'll run the risk of dropping market value and loosing money
The "final boss" will take 1700 mines so keep that in mind while playing and remember keep buying mines at 200 for 7 gold or under 20 when you're filthy rich
Hope this helps for anyone who's playing with difficulty :)
As for my rating it was fun but in the end lacked variety or a "random factor" to help moderate difficulty (i.e. competing oil companies, invention of synthetic oil, wells breaking, ect.) also the blobs seemed boring as the only enemy and perhaps you could expand for more variety in general?
In all though i enjoyed this as a time killer and appreciate the work in the game mechanics :) thank you
