Would have gotten 5/5 if it had a map, by the time you realize you need one your already lost...

This game is an absolute gem.

The movement is very well done- I never felt that the game arbitrarily made me fail a jump, nor was there any ambiguity over 'can I make this jump or do I need to find another way?'. The multi-jumping sequences near the end of the game were quite tough, but not frustratingly so- the punishment for failure (go back a screen or three, re-orient, try again) was a little frustrating; but given that this is the *only* punishment in a enemy-less, death-less game without a timer, re-trying a tricky sequence is kind of the whole point.

The level design is, quite simply, masterful. By far this was the most impressive aspect of Pivot. The game doesn't need a map, the screens are distinct enough to not get *too* lost, at least not too often. The puzzles were challenging at first, but fall into place when you think "orientation first!" The multi-room puzzles involving falling were pretty tricky. After I collected the second-last chest, I tooled around looking for one I'd missed for a couple of minutes then remembered the distinctive block in one of the later rooms. Sure enough, it was the exit.

The music is pretty mellow chip-tunes, fits well with the clean, 8-bit style graphics.

I can not fault a single aspect of Pivot. Thanks very much, Tomtusk. Favourited and looking forward to more!

It's a nice little game with a nice music and simple mechanics, but the lack of maps or some sort of compass makes you lose interest pretty quick since you just walk around in circles after some time

Nice game all around and an interesting take on the concept. The biggest failing is the lack of a map. The jumping was a little loose too, but tolerable. Overall, a nice job.
