An asteroids game with a neon theme made in stencyl.
Controls are fairly standard and are on screen in game.
This is a amazing game that I truly enjoyed though fairly easy, and needs work its one of the best asteroid games I have played. The music was excellent, and the colors worked all right with each other. Though I would have loved a scoreboard so I can see how much I was doing or even a level progress bar to see how far I went into the game. All in all it wasen't a perfect game as people have described it, but it was a game that caught my attention and kept me playing until I wrote this review. I hope you continue to create games =), and improve on your already grand designs.
Well A new version of Asteriods 80 is on my list of things to do. I plan to add a scoreboard as well as seriously decrease your ships life, and I want to add the whole newgrounds flash api to it.
Great update to the classic game Asteroids. I liked the different setups. The music is great also. The only issue is the game never ends after you die. You just stare at the screen waiting for it to respawn you, or bring you back to the title screen. It wasn't that bad because of the awesome music but still. That's a crucial part of any game is the respawn/restart.

There is little incentive to move as it takes more than a single asteroid hit to be destroyed, the asteroids move slowly, and most crises can be averted by simply mashing the space bar (shoot) button as quickly as possible. When I left the game running to write this review, my ship was inevitably destroyed, but the game endlessly let the level continue to run. On a positive note, the music sounds absurdly Baroque and is very enjoyable.
Thanks for the feedback this was an old project I had saved on my desktop from a year ago but that's no excuse in any future games I make I will make it noticeable less hits to die. I made it take different amounts depending on the ship used but either way looking at it now its still way to asteroid spongy to really give incentive to move. Also I am glad to hear you liked the sounds I am a music producer by trade so I pride myself in my games sounds, however I need to step up my games mechanics if I ever want to make a game even worth playing.
