I also use stencyl and I think this game could become better if you added more levels, also just adding a scene where the tiles display the words "you win" or "game over" when you beat the level would be an improvement. Eliminating the infinite jumping glitch is easy it uses a boolean that is set to true if the player is on the ground and to false if it's in the air, you then use an if statement to tell the player to jump only if he's on ground

No use in playing unless it has an ending or at least a secret ending. Just making a game with no end is pointless. Simply bored me rather quickly. Sorry.

I choose not to give this game a rating because you have not properly understood what it means to make a game. This is a physics engine; a good effort, but a buggy physics engine with plenty to yearn for. For starters, transitions from sliding on a wall to the ground are buggy. When you return to 'ground state', you do not resume walking if you are holding an arrow key-- you remain in place. Infinitely.

When your character falls, they have a lot of 'weight' and fall faster infinitely-- much more infinitely than the title of this game. Make sure to include a 'speed limiter' in your code to allow for much greater drifting control.

Second, many areas of the game are inaccessible without the double jump, such as the platforms in the sky, and other areas lock you in without the double jump, such as the zone under the start. I found myself able to walk on top of the first structure as well as under it, and without the double jump I would never have escaped. Before submitting your next engine, remember that your playground will naturally produce emergent play. In the case of myself being locked under the room with the only escape being death, that was bad emergence.

The parallax background was a good touch, but I'm still going to give this a 0 star rating. We have one too many half-baked engines in our library of games here at Newgrounds.

Hey, thanks for the constructive criticism! I'll be sure to do my better from now on!

Please don't submit things that come from tutorials. They count as public files, since they're available to everyone. And when you do tutorials, you're not actually creating your own game. You're following steps to re-create someone else's game, and so, that's why they're actually against the rules. Submissions must be your own creation.

This wasn't bad, as far as it looks decent and the controls work, but it should, since that's what tutorials do. Since it's a Stencyl platform tutorial, it might be removed.

Keep working at it. Just make it all your own.

Good luck. :)
