GAME NOT LOADING? Click on my profile name to find the normal version of the game(runs at 1000 x 600)

If the game is too big, in Chrome hold CTRL and scroll in and out on your mouse to change zoom. Alternatively CTRL + and CTRL - also control zoom in chrome.

This is the HD version of the game, the high performance version is almost done (it runs at 1000 x 600)
Controls:
W - Jump, Double Jump
A - Move Left
D - Move Right
H - Horizontal Attack
J - Vertical Attack
K - Kick
1,2,3 - Dash, Dagger Throw, Self Heal
(These next skills are unlocked later on as you play the game)
L - Lightning Bolt
U - Updraft
I - Bomb Throw

Chains of Fate is an action adventure platformer made using Impact.js.

Runs best on chrome, may not run in IE. Runs well on firefox.
More than likely requires a decent pc to run this given the rendering through the browser.

This version may not run on your PC, I am currently making a high performance version of the game, which will run better and on more computers. This will be released before the end of this month.

I can see a good game under here, I really can. The artstyle is mostly gorgeous, with a few choppy animations here and there. The music is absolutely beautiful and perfectly fits the dreamlike realm you wander through. The problems start with the enemies. They're everywhere, can attack you before you can so much as think about doing anything, and more often than not launch you halfway across the stage. It also doesn't help that most of your attacks do slightly less than fuck-all to start with, meaning your best option is to just use your dash and dagger to plow through everything and heal every chance you get. The platforming is slippery but you can get a feel for it, and the signs, while slapped on, give you a very solid grasp on what's to come. The story seems interesting and I really want to see what's on the other side, I just can't deal with the issues plaguing that journey. That said, this is a great attempt at a game and would love to see where you go from here. If I had to give you any advice that would really improve the game, tone down the enemy speed and health and give your protagonist a slight buff to their attack and staying power. To start with anyway, once you get to later levels with some stat boosts, feel free to throw everything at me and push whatever skills I pick up to the limit

The game had troubling loading. When it did is was buggy and crashed my flash.

Have you considered making a "lite" version? You and I both know this project is way too big for Newgrounds. Try making some type of demo on Newgrounds, then post a link to a download page. Otherwise, you'll just get more 0-star ratings on your game for no reason. Just consider it, eh?

I'm almost done with the lite version, just have 2 more levels to finish remaking then I can upload it later on tonight =D

Display is way too big for my screen, and the file nearly crashed my browser. If you're going to make a big game, you should make it for a console or as a downloadable. Trying to put something like this on newgrounds is just going to get a bunch of angry comments.

It may not work for a lot of users due to the high amount of draw calls /resolution. I am going to be releasing a faster version of the game that runs at 1000x600 that is half the size of the original. I'll put up a link in the description once it is done.
