I woke up in a room... It is not locked and I remember everything. I'm a werewolf. Tonight I will turn and people will die, unless I find a way to prevent myself from escaping this place.

There IS a recipe for the potion in game :-)

if your ever get stuck on the potion part use spice, herb and mushroom but do not use the root
awesome game by the way i like how you made an escape that has nothing do with escaping instead you try not to escape at all

So fun.

I really enjoyed this game. It didn't take much to figure it out but it was a bit of a brain teaser. Since you have plenty of time, and can spur the night sequence when ready, you can take all the time you need to carefully sift through everything there.

When I noticed where the hint to the recipe was, I face palmed and easily managed to figure it out, especially after thinking, "What would I expect a Recipe to be written on." . This game wasn't too easy, but it also wasn't too hard either. Just right! Thanks for posting it! Loved the game and it's quirks.

If you want the last medal, don't put in the root, and start the fire BEFORE making the potion. If you do it the other way around you reach the fourth medal, but not the fifth. The root stops the potions from being a poison. btw the potion recipe is the second paper of the journal (the papers on the table).

This review may contain some spoilers (sorry NGers).

I really enjoyed this game - interesting, logical puzzles and fun "anti-escape" premise. The issues I have with the game shouldn't affect the 5 star rating it deserves, but I feel that the issues are significant.

One main gripe I have is that "hot dust" does not really translate to "spice" - it is up to players to realize that "spice" was probably chili powder. It definitely took me a couple minutes (longer that it should have, imo) to figure this out.

Also, what is the point of the root in the game? Or the unlit candle and empty pot in the bedroom? A few of the items seemed pointless (unless they were meant to confuse players, and it certainly confused me).
