While this may seem like a milestone achievement for you as a programmer, it is probably not a publishable milestone. Continue the great work, but what you put on there needs much refinement.
Well...for starters...why is a plane fighting U-boats?
That took quite a bit out of the game for me.
Second, no sound or music made the game less interesting.
Third problem I had was lack of effects with you were destroyed or an enemy was destroyed. The enemies just vanish and if a U-boat touches you, you just get a game over screen.
Fourth problem (a minor one, but still one that took away from the game), was that I'm somehow firing torpedoes larger than my underwater U-boat-fighting jet.
Fifth problem (another minor one that is frequently and easily ignored in a lot of sub flashes) is the speed. It's too fast. Underwater combat is slow. Slow to respond, slow to maneuver, slow to fire. It's suspenseful. These things move around like flying saucers (which would make more sense since I'm in a plane and the boss is some mysterious energy orb anyways)
It's a working level, I didn't find any glitches, and it more or less matches what you say should be expected in the description, which is why I still give it a 2.
Nice beginner game.
Sorry, but flying boats? Just no. And that orb at the end you only get 3 seconds to kill, even though its the only thing in the game that shoots at you. and then that's it the game is over. 30 seconds of time wasted. In the honest opinion of a gamer I wouldn't want to see this game survive publication.
