So it's alright your basic top down shooter. The graphics are alright the sounds are mediocre and the controls can be spotty. Its an alright time waster nothing more nothing less.

Pretty nice. New environments would be great. Gets tiring staring at a grey play area all the time. Smooth visuals, nice music. Nice work!

The game is ok

starts easy and has some "jumps" on wave 3 onwards
it would be nice to see how much the stats improve with each upgrade

An okay game, but it's not very refined. It isn't clear what most of the upgrades do, and preventing damage to your crates seems very difficult considering the enemy has ranged weapons and there's no cover.

The 'revival' mechanic when you die is broken, as well. The enemy still targets your corpse, which means if you are mobbed, it's essentially game over. You wait for revival, survive for an instant before the same 20 guys who originally killed you kill you again.

Nice effort, I guess.

The aiming tracks very well, I was pretty impressed with that. The enemies race in far too fast to be able to aim at them, though. I ended up strafing the whole time, making the aiming near useless.
The game is also very simple. You should add new levels, new weapons, new guard equipment, and additional guards.
I never bothered with the sprinting as the character runs too fast as it is. character points took too long to earn for how little gameplay variety there is.
If you make people grind for stat points, there should be something to hold them to it. I didn't even notice any improvement after putting 3 stat points into my rifle.
You lost a star because this is one level, repeated with no variety.
You lost another for the forced strafing. This game needs to slow its enemies down dramatically.
You described this as "Contra style", but this looks and feels nothing like Contra. Contra wasn't a top-down shooter. You have obvious skill, as the controls worked exactly as intended and the aiming was amazing, if only there was a time to use it. Sprinting would work if you slowed the character down first. Also, map it to a different key. Q is awful for sprint. Try shift or ctrl.
