Just a little flash game where you have to collect all the gems in the level and then find the exit under the time limit. There is 25 levels through 3 worlds. :).
Controls:
Left/Right Arrows: Move
Up Arrow: Jump

Reading through previous peoples' comments, I'd have to agree.
Brilliant game and yes, I nostalged a wee bit, too. I think it is its simplicity that makes this game so addictive.
As afore mentioned, power-ups, high scores and bonuses would be great. Tweaking the difficulty of each level by increasing difficulty, adding more challenging obstacles and reducing time limits without making a game too difficult too early or too easy can be extremely challenging. That elusive golden ratio, lol.
All-in-all, though, a very cool game, I liked it. 4.5/5, allowing for the areas of improvement which I hope to see in GemHunter II.

Not so bad. Adding high scores, power up would give this an extra +2 stars instead half.
Next time I aim to do just this :)

The game stops being fun when the time provided for each level becomes so short that it's impossible to clear the level on your first try because you don't know what the level looks like yet.
This happens less than halfway through the game.
It was hard trying to find the balance, next time I'll experiment different on level gameplay

Old school, nice... Not as fun as some of the other games on the chopping block but still, worth the play.

Enjoyable, but missing basic elements like themes where one can be immersed in.
